The walls we saw

“Break The Walls,” was a powerful social film and TV commercial that worked as a rallying cry to women with textured hair to celebrate the fact that together, they are breaking down the walls of the beauty industry, starting with the walls that separate the beauty aisle from the ethnic aisle.

Our team developed a campaign that sparked conversation, empowered women, and changed the industry.

My role in this campaign was creating the original idea of breaking the walls. I crafted the client pitch, art directed the campaign, and selected production elements for the commercial and documentary videos. I designed the launch collateral for social media and owned channels.

The results have been 3.1 Million equitable skincare experiences.
900MM+ earned impressions in 2 weeks, action taken by 48% of site visitors, and a 1,430% increase in people seeking dermatological care.
